Viola Shoemaker, Hearing Instrument Specialist & CDP (Certified Dementia Practitioner)
Born in Middletown, New York my family moved to Arizona where I spent most of my childhood. In 5th grade, I knew that my aspiration in life was to help people.
In 2014, I decided to make the move to Anchorage, Alaska. I took a leap of faith and applied for a position with Audiology Associates, Inc. Having only worked in food service I knew that I needed to make a change because I wasn’t doing what I loved. They welcomed me like family and I learned very quickly that this was where I was meant to be.
After many training classes and continuing education classes, I’ve been able to get my Hearing Aid Specialist license and witness many lives change over the years. I have been on two trips to the Dominican Republic where we volunteer for a Medical Mission and thousands of people’s lives have been changed. I am blessed to say that I get to be a part of that. It is truly an honor to be able to help change peoples lives one ear at a time.
